Male impotence is normally caused by physical problems
Most people are still under the impression that male impotence is a purely psychological phenomenon. This isn’t true. One of the real problems regarding impotence is the extreme lack of knowledge in society about its causes. There is also a tendency by many men to shy away from the problems because of the stigma that goes with being impotent.
Impotence affects nearly 50% of men over the age of 40; it’s a common problem, so if you suffer from impotence, you are not alone. Erective dysfunction can happen to anybody, and it’s usually the result of a physical problem.
Most men who suffer form erectile dysfunction can still have erections and want to have sex, but the erections will often be short lived or not hard enough. The causes of this are normally a result of something going on in the body, and not the mind. Only about 10% of cases of erectile dysfunction are psychological.
Due to massive advances in the study of impotence, it is now easier than ever to deal with. For years, medicine refused to devote too much time to the study of the male reproductive system, while advances in the female reproductive system were vast. It seems that men just weren’t willing to admit to their problems in the past!
It was widely believed that the answer to sexual problems in males was primarily held in the mind. This dated view is slowly but surely being replaced and we are now able to tackle problems of impotence more effectively than ever.
